Vision Statement: To be a faithful, growing church, that demonstrates true community, deep Christian spirituality and a passion for justice.
– Micah 6:8
Internal mission: Connection must be at the center of every group’s purpose. We must build an atmosphere of Community and Family within the church, where creating an atmosphere of God centered unity within the body is the main focus. If members don’t feel connected through the programs the church offers, it is easy for members to leave. Each member must be committed to establishing connection and community within the group. Besides prayer and fellowship, groups must meet the needs of each member. Teaching how to live daily in Christ and not just worship and leave.
Mission Statement: To be and to share the Good News of Jesus Christ, witnessing, loving and serving from our doorsteps “to the ends of the earth.”
– Acts 1:8
External mission: In addition to getting together to meet each other’s needs for community and family, we as a church group also need to establish a mission outside itself. Our external mission is to win the lost and make disciples. Create an atmosphere where lost individuals can come and be led to the Lord and not be left to their own devices, but be developed into a disciple of God. We must also go out to the byways and highways to reach those that would not be willing to go to a church seeking help. This helps the group’s purpose and focus to remain on others as opposed to existing for the sole benefit of its members.
